Milestone Monday 💙We’re excited to kick off Milestone Monday, a monthly check-in we’ll be sharing on the first Monday of each month.
This space is here for you. We invite you to share a milestone you’re celebrating right now — big or small. Milestones can look different for everyone, whether it’s completing treatment, asking an important question at an appointment, finding a moment of calm, or simply getting through a difficult week.
There’s no pressure to share more than feels comfortable, and it’s always okay to just read and reflect. We’re grateful to have you here and to be building this space together!

Hi – It’s Tuesday but this thread seems an appropriate place to share this news: my sister was discharged by her oncologist today after more than 11 years of dealing with mel in her life.Leisa was diagnosed stage 3 in January 2015, stage 4 that December, had spinal radiation for pain in Jan. 2016, started Taf/Mek in Feb./March 2016 but ended in three weeks due to grade 3 allergic reaction, started Ipi in April 2016 but stopped in May 2016 for WBR for literally hundreds of micromets and larger bleeding tumours, started Nivo in July 2016 and was NED in July 2017. Nivo was continued until July 2018.
So, here we are – 8 years out of treatment, nearly 9 years NED, 10 years survival of brain mets, discharged by neuro-oncologist in March and now, today, by her main oncologist.
Hoping this report helps those going through treatment now and wishing the best outcomes, always, for all who arrive here!!!
