Yes. My husband had stage iv melanoma & early stages of Parkinson’s. my husband’s neurologist will not put him on any medications for the Parkinson’s since he’s currently being treated for the mm. We’re in a wit & see mode until we see how he does on his current treatment trial.

I've read recently that if one has PD or melanoma he or she is predisposed to getting the other disease also. I'm trying to find more info about this.
I've had Parkinson's disease (PD) since at least 2006 when my right shoulder became rigid. I didn't start the PD meds until 2010 when my symptoms became much worse. In May 2012 I underwent DBS surgery which was so successful I was able to stop taking any PD meds for 6 months. Melanoma was diagnosed on my forearm in April 2013 and was removed in May. Fortunately, the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes. I don't know what I would have done if it had spread and radiation therapy had been recommended.
