To get side effects under control low dosage seems to help. Why is there a recommendation not to go below half the recommended dosage.

Are there other side effects that could show up or is it just because it would be not so effective anymore?

I have been on Zelboraf about a month, don’t know if it’s working, and had all the side effects on a full does incl grade 4 rash than landed me in the hospital on IV steroids. Now back on 720mg twice a day (75%) dose battling rash, nausea, foot and joint pain. On Advil, prednisone 10 mg, Nexium, etc. my doc has studied the drug and does not feel it will work for me at a lesser dose. I’m BRAF v600D so we don’t even know if it will work.
