Well, once again we head to the doc with a Beagle who needs surgery.  This time is not too bad…a nasty sebaceous cyst on EmmaDog's back that started to ooze something vile and yucky on Monday.  I got her an appointment yesterday morning, but by then it look like a small vollcano.

She has been a lumpy girl for quite some time, but the advice has been not to put her under anasthesia at the ripe old doggie age of 14.  This thing is on the top side of ooogie though and the risk of infection is great.  (I kept hot compresses on it yesterday and it is better.)  She is taking an antibiotic and surgery is tomorrow morning.  While she is there, she will have her other lumps and barnacles removed; Beagle Cosmetic Surgery.  (Every one of the 4 lumps received a FNA yesterday…yucky lipids and non-cancerous stuff that I can't remember.)

There are lots of really bad problems out there, I know…but if y'all could send some good thoughts out for a Really Good Beagle, I would sure appreciate it..  And so would EmmaDog.

      Take good care,

      k.

of course Emma Dog deserves all we can give.  What about mild sedation?  I had a icky icky cyst removed prob from same place as Emma (even have photos to prove it since DD was in on it in the O.R.)  and once I got the freezing needle, (and I know a dog aint the same)  but no feeling at all.   So combined with  sedation, and freezing is that a possiblity for her?

Oh Kim.   she will be soon into her new digs.
