      Hello,all,

Just finished a seven week course of IMRT radiation therapy in conjuncition with Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) for my mucosal melanoma tumor in the maxillary sinus.  Now with radiation over, docs are considering continuing the Keytruda and – since I am positive for the cKIT mutation – adding Gleevec (imatinib), but we're worried aout the possible side effects.  Anyone have experience with this combination and side effects?  Everyone is afraid I would be in a "clinical trial of one."

Approximately 7 months on pembrolizumab and imatinib –  fatigue has been the most noticeable side effect.  Pruritus, itchy skin, was also an issue initially, but has appeared to subside somewhat.

              Hi,

I have been on Imatinib for 4 years for CML and Pembrolizumab for 4 weeks for stage 4 melanoma. Maybe 1st person in UK being treated with both drugs? So far no serious side effects – occasional nausea, some diarrhoea, intermittent fatigue, no skin issues – main problem is backache, but I think this is caused by diverticulosis

              Regards

Good morning. How are you doing on the keytruda and gleevec. I have been using gleevec for 5 weeks and plan to add keytruda. We are not finding any research on mixing these two drugs and am wondering how you tolerated the combination.

                Thank you.

                Regards, Joe McCue

Good morning. I plan to follow this combination in two weeks. Can you tell me how it went? I to have been told I will be the only one.
