I was just diagnosed on Friday, not much information other than my excision is upcoming, Stage 1 at this point, Atypical Spitzoid.

I am obviously panicked, and my doctor provided little information so I have had the weekend to think about this, and to google.  I am confused by the Spitzoid classification, and find varying reports, some of which are terrifying.  Can anyone enlighten me on this topic?

      Thank you so much.

I don't know about your specific melanoma, but I am 3C on neck. Now doing Chemo every 2 weeks. In 3 months 2 surgeries and now Chemo. I was really scared also. I still am. But I have faith. I just wanted to say your not alone. Good Luck

Your in the right place, dont go Googling anywhere else, it's all old info.  Thats the worst thing you can do.  Sounds like you caught it very early which is a very good thing. Good luck.
