    i got my pet scans back…the 'hot spots' were arthritis, not mel…after doctor shopping and lot's of reading and interviewing and indecisiveness…i am going to do bio-chemotherapy for my stage 3c diagnosis…if my insurance won't go for it…will try to get into the pittsburg study (ipi vs interferon)…i start june 2…wish me luck

      Good for you, Boot! I'm relieved your hot spots were just arthur…hopefully it won't be long and ned will be a pal too. Glad you've got your mind made up about your plan of attack and a backup plan too. You're rolling and I'm glad to see your insurance company had bettee watch out!

      BTW, June 2nd is my Daddy's 81st birthday. It has always been good to him. Here's praying it's good for you! All the best to you Friend.

      Boots – Good luck.  I'll be thinking about you as you start this part of the journey.  I don't know if your bio-chem will be the same as mine.  Mine was:  IL2, Interferon, Dicarbazine, vinblastine, cistabine.  I'm SURE I didn't get the names totally right or spell them right!!…but, that was basically it.  I had 4 rounds, 5 days in the hospital each time.  If you want to email me separately or call, I can tell you what my experience was like and what its like now 4 months later.  feel free to email and I can pass along my cell phone number via email if you want.  – Shari.  (shari_counce@hotmail.com)
