I have an inoperable tumor lying an artery. Been on IPI for 3 doses. Did not stop this tumor from growing. Cannot operate because of its location. Doctor wants to try Temodar to shrink tumor. HAS ANYONE USED THIS CHEMO DRUG. I NEED FEEDBACK PLEASE.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I have been using Temodar for 10 months now (42 days on/14 days off). There was some tumor shrinkage initially, and last scans were stable. It doesn't have great numbers, but seems to work for some people, and with fewer side-effects. I hope it works for you.

My dad took Temodar for about 6 months (I think 160 mg @ 21 days on, 7 off) to help stablilize his multiple tumors. Some shrunk more than others, some didn't shrink but also were not growing rapidly. He had also had WB radiation early on that help slow growth in his brain. The response to Temodr was mixed, but the good effects were noticeable.

                Best,

                DF
