My husband is 36. He is a melanoma survivor as he had melanoma when he was 12. It’s been 25 years since he was successfully treated. He has noticed hard swollen lymph nodes in his groin (3) their growing in size very firm and not painful to touch. He has recently started complaining of hip pain which he said feels stiff. He has a very small purple mole type think on his chest. Looks like a blood blister but has been there since summer time ? He’s been to gp and sent to out patients not far from us . He’s been for a ct scan 3 weeks ago. No results yet as the doctor who ordered the scan has suddenly taken sick and the hospital are trying to find a replacement doctor?? He had also lost weight but he said he has been working harder in the gym ? He’s never shifted much weight in the gym before. Does this sound like Melanoma again. If I knew how to attach a photo with this post I would? The purple mole is around 2 mm. I’m so stressed out. Would this be anything other than melanoma? Doesn’t look like we’re gonna be finding out of the hospital anytime soon. Thanks

I think u need to request a copy of that CT and have a Dr read it STAT. Otherwise it’s just guessing. Go with the facts and believe me there is will be plenty of time to stress after diagnosis so for now just be super active and utilize that anxious energy to get result of CT.

I'll echo the other posters here and say please push to get the results. 3 weeks is a long time to wait for scan results. You and your husband should search out your own specialist.
The other thing – try not to worry yourself sick. My oncologist was really great with me – saying, we don't know if it's cancer until we get the results. We don't worry until we have something to worry about. That was the best advice ever.
Good wishes to you both,
Jennifer
