Melanoma and politics, what a great combination!!! I am not sure which topic I hate more, thanks Catherine Poole.

Very nicely written! I've long thought John McCain was the epitome of graciousness and nice to read an acknowledgement to loved ones who are caregivers too.

Oh Ed get real you are Canadian right, you don't understand our healthcare is political.  John McCain has risen above politics, that's the point.  He will die soon sadly.

The topic is courage not melanoma and a courageous man who knows how to face losing his life to cancer with grace. Shame on you Ed.

Wow!!! The brave Anon's have come out to play today, great!!! To the first anon, when some one puts up a title on a post " uplifting story" then talks about politics and her obvious view on them, then the uplifting part gets lost in the mud. Also anon #1 I am a proud Canadian stage 4 melanoma patient who likes to give his opinion on things!!! My money is on Senator McCain, if the Vietnam war, and Melanoma didn't kill him then my hope is this is just another bump in the road. Finally to both anon's who talk of courage hidding behind the anon button, my hope is that Senator McCain's medical team has more faith in him beating this than you seem to have!!!

Hang tough, Edster.  Funny how one person's opinion is "too harsh", per those who are judging harshly.  Funny too, the symbiotic relationship between Cooper, Poole and MIF!  Hmmmmm….   Hope you've kept up with the voices here, Coop!  Last I heard from you, I was being berated for suggesting Artie seek radiation combined with immunotherapy…as something that had been proven only in "small animals"!  Anyhow, guess we little mice and ratties have more than proven the case now!!!  Thanks for ALL the opinions guys.  As long as we are listening as well as commenting…ALL the voices will move us forward.  It takes a village.  (I miss Artie!)  Celeste
