We are attempting a trip to DisneyWorld in a couple of weeks. My husband had a craniotomy at the end of November and gamma knife 2 weeks ago. The neurosurgeon isn’t thrilled with our plans, but we don’t know how much longer he has and want to have this memory without children. So, we’re looking for the “best” hospital in Orlando, just in case. A good neurosurgery department is important. I don’t think they’ll be any cancer issues, but a good cancer center would be good, too. Any thoughts or ideas?

Go have a great time- i'm sure you'll be fine.  M. D. Anderson cancer center,  Dr. Gregory Pennock- very good melanoma specialist that i started IPI trial with….and I had numerous active brain tumors.  Should you need him , tell 'em Grady C. Lewis from Hoboken, GAwga sent you (he won't forget me) , and Texas A & M is a fine institution !  Have fun,  Grady.

I go to Moffitt and I personally think it's the best. It's about 50 minutes down the road from Disney World.  My hubby and I live about 1 hr 25 minutes from Moffitt. Hey we just bought annual passes for Disney World and we try and go every week to DW now. It's my happy place!!!- Lynn -stage 4 NED

We just left Disney… took the kids. Moffitt was close. It was our “just in case” vacation. Hubby is doing temodar, so we mapped all the hospitals from Orlando to Buffalo, NY. Enjoy your trip and try not to think about mel…. relax and have fun ๐Ÿ™‚ We did.
