    Hi;

    Just had my first infusion of Opdivo (just Opdivo). Everything went very well, just got a little tired the day after except I woke up yesterday morning and this morning with significant pain in my hips. Really sharp pain. Enough so I could no longer sleep after about 3AM. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? It is till bothering me, but doesn't get any worse or better when I am up and moving around, just moving slower and struggling a bit with stairs. Curious, is this what they mean by body aches? The rest of my body feels pretty okay. Thanks people, as a newbie I have found the information here to be so comforting and helpful!

    Thanks again,

    Ted

      I had finished 3 of the 4 combo tretments Aug'17, then high does of Prednisone until end of Dec.  Now i have joint pain in ankles,knees, hips, right shoulder.  I asked Dr if i could start taking my glucosmine and chondrotin again, i took it for years for osteo arthrits, it worked for me.  But quit in Spring '17 not knowing what i was allowed to take during treatment. He said yes.  I have prescrliption for Meloxiam for arthritis, but i can only take it occasionally he said because it can damage kidnes.  Obviously cannot take tylenol after just getiting my liver panel  normal.  Ask your dr what to trake.  Also water aerobics can help. Joint pain is a side effect, I have had 39 treatments and just about all of my joints hurt. I would be happy your hips hurt because It could be your immune system is reacting to the drug which is what you want. A week after my first combo I got the rash and was so happy but after 20 months it is still here. But NED!!!

      My wife has been on Opdivo since September and has very recently started having joint pain first in the bones in her feet and it has now moved up into her ankles.   She says it is worse when she has been sitting still and first stands up, and that it actually helps to get up and walk around  it seems to loosen up and lessen the pain for her.
