    Hi all,

I hope someone here might know what this is:  (I have scans this thursday night and PET on Monday, so I'm quite worried)

I feel a pain and a golfball size lump, palpable, just to the right (my right) of my belly button.  My measurements might be off 'cause I had tram-flap reconstruction following mastectomy so that area was moved around quite a bit.  Also, there is mesh from hernia repairs just underneath the lump

Does this ring a bell to anyone?

    many thanks,

    karen

And I just reached down and felt about 3 more a little higher up, but further under the skin.  Thanks again.

        Karen,

Any chance it is another hernia?  Do the lumps/bluges change in size at all with position changes?

      Hi Karen,

Goodness, I can certainly understand your anxiety over this.  I would contact your onc today if you feel uncomfortable about it.  Just to let you know, Dave had swelling and pain after IL-2 in weird places… and some were areas of previous injury (back to when he was a kid).  I am wondering if maybe the IL-2 is to blame.

Keep us posted, and hopefully somebody else on the board can answer your questions better.

Thanks for the concern and suggestions. my commute is 1 hour on the LIRR, and heaven forbid my blackberry's not working.  They do not seem to move (or hurt anymore) upon sitting.  Boy do I hope this is the IL-2.  Scans Thursday night and Monday morning, doc.  next Thursday…it can't come fast enough  And this time I will remember to ask for written copies of the reports.

        Thanks again!

I'm so happy that Memorial Sloan Kettering is staying open late tomorrow night to accomodate me for scans…MRI and CT.  The whole radiation department.
