      Has anyone with brain mets had issues with falling off to sleep amd then kerning away. I have had this the last couple of nights and am now panicking that the vem is no longer working?

          I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with the term "kerning away".  Is that a typo and if not can you give an explanation of that term?

                There's as many varieties of possible neurological symptoms as there are areas of the brain. To set you mind at ease (or in the worst case to deal with something) I'd recommend contacting your melanoma specialist and fully describing the new possible changes.
