My husband is getting started on this in a few days. I’m curious as to results and side effects experienced by people on this forum. We can read the side effects in the paperwork, but after awhile, they all seem to list the same things. I’d rather hear from someone hear, good or bad. A search did not result any post, so I’m also wondering how common this drug is.

      Thank you.

No, I have not taken but I can provide some information related to it. Lynparza (olaparib) is an oral therapy drug that is used to treat certain types of cancer. It is a PARP inhibitor, which means that it blocks the action of a protein called PARP. PARP is involved in repairing DNA damage, so blocking PARP can help to kill cancer cells.

            Lynparza is approved to treat:

Advanced ovarian cancer in patients who have received three or more prior lines of chemotherapy.
HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer in patients who have been treated with chemotherapy in the neoadjuvant, adjuvant, or metastatic setting.
Lynparza is generally well-tolerated, but it can cause some side effects, such as:

              Nausea
              Vomiting
              Diarrhea
              Fatigue
              Headache
              Dizziness
              Low blood cell counts
