I have followed this site back to 2001. I've never posted but found great insight and assistance in this fight. Unfortunately, now I must ask . . .
BACKGROUND: Bone (left heel, left ankle, left shin, right femur, pelvis), brain (2 mets), liver (looked more like swiss cheese than a liver), lung mets (looked like someone splatter painted his lungs). Stage 4. Postive for BRAF.

NOW: My husband started a GSK trial 21Apr11. Four week scans showed a bloody miracle in my books. Eight week scans – not so good. Onc. wants to meet with the radiologist on the MRI results and wants to redo the MRI again to double check. Two brain mets, which had been reduced at four weeks, are now five brain mets and growing. I am shocked. Hubby is stunned.
QUESTION: We were warned that drug resistance could happen as soon as 3 months but has anyone else heard of resistance happening this quickly? If it is not drug resistence, has anyone else heard of GSK not crossing the BBB properly? Everything else looks good, why not his brain?

I can't help with the question, but I think you accidently posted this to the wrong board (the "Off-topic board") which only relatively few people read.
You should repost to the main board (Click on "Connect with patients" on the left side. Then on "Bulletin Board".)
