It's okay. Needing glasses just means we're getting OLD. And we who are fighting the beast LOVE TO GET OLD 🙂 I hope you live to be 100 !!

Thanks for posting Lynn!  We are going to try and get Dave into one of these clinical trials – and I want him seen at UPMC also – they have a trial with IPI and GM-GSF. He sees the thoracic surgeon on Wednesday for post op check up – we'll have a boat load of questions for him then.

      Hi Lynn,

Here's a combo trial of MDX-1106 and IPI:

      http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01024231

I started IPI (infusion #1) last week.

does anyone know what this exclusion for this trial means?  On the surface that would say you need to be NED or stable – but hard to believe it would be that restrictive.

with an inclusion criteria of "Measurable unresectable Stage III or IV MEL", I believe an exclusion criteria of "Prior malignancy active within the previous 2 years" usually means if there was another cancer other than melanoma.

For example, a more explicitly worded exclusion criteria I've seen is "Prior malignancy within the preceding five years, with the exception of non-melanoma skin cancers."
