This question may be better answered by the long-termers here. If I were to start a fund-raiser to benefit Melanoma patients, which organisation would be the best one to donate the funds to?

This seems to be one of the top foundations for stricly melanoma research. Haven't really looked into many others, but the MRF seems to have a lot more going on as far as events to raise awareness and money for research than other melanoma organizations. Maybe others on here know about something better? But, could always start with donating right here ๐Ÿ™‚

If you want the money to go to patients, then MIF (melanoma international foundation) is the choice.  they have scholarships to support patients and help patients personally.  www.melanomaforum.org

Beware of organizations that do a lot of press and have big staffs.  You can also compare them on Guidestar, like how they spend their money
