My father’s pet scan results came out clean and the oncologist asked us to follow up with blood tests after 4 months. He has been on interfereon after his lymph node removal last year. This forum has helped in educating me what are the different options available. We think about everyday as a gift these days and i am happy for this moment even though i don’t know what the future holds for my father.

I’m glad to hear about the clear PET scan.  Good luck to your father with his follow-up.  Will he be doing the year of low dose?  I finished my year in March.  It was hard, but I’m glad I did it.

That’s great news. I know how hard it is to wonder about the future but for what it’s worth, I have gone 5 years now without a recurrence after my lymph nodes were removed. I hope your father will be melanoma free forever! Best of luck, Carver

Tell him to follow Carver, even if he’s not a gardener.  Sounds good so far.  Enjoy and thanks for the update.
