i HAVE BEEN ON ZELBORAF FOR ALMOST ONE YEAR (3 MONTH BREAK FOR IPPI) AND I HAVE BEEN HAVING GOOD RESULTS.  MY ONCOLOGIST HAS THROWN OUT THE POSSIBILITY OF STOPPING Z FOR 2 MONTHS AND THEN POSSIBLY STARTING THE NEW BRAF DRUG AFTER THE TWO MONTH HIATUS.

HAS ANYONE TRIED THIS AND IF SO, DID YOU HAVE GOOD RESULTS?

      BARRY

I don't know why you would need a 2-month wash out period when switching from Zelboraf to dabarfenib. I don't think that everybody does that. On the other hand, Dr. Linette and Siteman Cancer Center are melanoma specialista with excellent reputations, so I would tend to trust his advice. Perhaps others here know why you would have to wait 2 months.
