      The last two mornings I have been extremely dizzy. Once in the shower. Had to close my eyes and hold onto the shower door. Couldn’t even open my eyes or move to sit down on the bench in the shower. This morning, my husband had to help me walk down the hall. I could not walk without his assistance, and even struggled with his help. But once I’m up a while, it seems fine. I mean I’ve been a little light-headed lately. But these two big episodes are only in the morning.

I could not walk without his assistance, and even struggled with his help. But once I’m up a while, it seems fine. I mean I’ve been a little light-headed lately. But these two big episodes are only in the morning. If it was a brain met, wouldn’t it give me trouble other times of the day too? I suppose I should call or email my doctor but wanted to run it by you all first. I am diabetic, but my glucose is pretty good and doesn’t fluctuate much. After my dad’s quadruple by-pass last month, we’ve all been on a pretty healthy diet.

          Please call your doctor today and tell him what you just said here, he should be ording a brain MRI right away just to be safe. My brain met was in the left side of my Cereblum. the part that effects balance & walking. I was a ilttle dizzy and stumbled just once or twice. The problem with my symptomsi was that they kept coming and going so it took me 2 wks to call. One night it hurt to open my eyes and look side to side. Again, please call your doctor today..             It could be neuropathy. My feet at times will not send thier position to the brain and I have loss of balance.

            I did get an MRI and it was clear. 40 days later another brain MRI for baseline Ipi trial and they found mets.

            Either way get a brain MRI ASAP. I guess it gets better later in the day because you learn how to change the way you walk so things settle down. The shower thing I can relate to, it is when it first hit me.

            Go for a brain MRI. I have no idea if Nueropathy or the brain tumors caused it, but does it really matter.

                Could also be something like vertigo, or maybe your sugar is dipping during the night. I would still go to the Dr. and get an MRI.

                  i will have brief episode of dizzyness (a few minutes) and throbbing / wooshing sounds.  MRI showed leptominingial mets (on the lining of the brain & in the spinal fluid.  They are interminent, not constant.

                    Obviously let your Doc know. Are you on chemo or interferon? When I started interferon (2001) on the 4th day I kind of toppled over and had to hold the wall to get to the bathroom in the morning. Turns out my white count was way, way low. Just a thought. Best wishes to you.

                      Yes, you should call the doc and maybe do an MRI…but no need to freak out yet.  There are plenty of benign reasons you could be dizzy.  I had a couple of episodes when I was doing IL-2 this winter.  I blame my chiropractor; I think he put something in the wrong place and it took time to find its way back – but my point is, my brain was just fine in two PETs after the dizziness happened and went away on its own.  So call the doc, be prudent…but try not to let yourself jump to the scariest conclusion.
