      My brother is having his first embolization for metastic ocular melanoma with liver mets next week.  Looking for anyone that has had them and exactly what your side effects were and how long they lasted?.  When were you able to return to work?

          Hello there!  My mother-in-law had a chemoembolization with Abraxane.  Her side effects included fatigue, hair loss, mouth sores, and a 30lb water retention.  She was rather advanced when she had her chemoembo and was never able to return to work.  Unfortunately, her symptoms lasted the remainder of her life.
