My husband Bill has been on a her-2 chemo drug for about three years. He had a scare last year and had a liver met which turned out to be non cancerous. Unfortunately, he had a scan this morning and he has two new lung nodules after being stable for almost three years. He has had three lung vat surgeries, TIL treatment , ipi/nivo, DTIC and now the her-2 drug. It feels like a kick in the gut!

Maureen, I don't know whether a virtual hug from a virtual stranger is helpful, but just in case, sending one your way.

                Dear Maureen,

Have you looked at cryotherapy? If you research a little bit you’ll find that this is a rather non invasive way of getting rid of lung nodules (and prostate and liver tumours) that can be repeated if necessary. Dr. Littrup in Detroit (I think) is the pioneer. Look him up. Cryo like radiotherapy (and unlike surgery) does trigger the immune system. Let me know your findings. And you can always call me or email me. You are both doing this.

Thanks so much! That’s very interesting information. I will definitely look into it and check with his oncologist.
