This is a great summary of the latest drug therapies for the treatment of Advanced Melanoma (both FDA approved and investigational). I found it really helpful and I thought I'd share.

But does seem a bit slanted by whoever paid her.

Have no problem with your post. I long ago learned to take with a grain (OR shaker) many of the articles, especially regarding the success rates of the new BIG cures (cherry picked " patients). The targets are narrowed down (as they need to be), to get the best results. Nothing is for across the board patients. Keep posting new things you find. (I don't have time on my own to look up everything newly published.)

I would like to know what items in the publication Anonymous disagrees with so drastically, or is it just the writer not being a melanoma research oncologist that is the dislike?

I dunno. I didn't see any obvious slant to the article. I just liked that it gave in one place a good general overview of most of the treatment options I've seen discussed here, and thought it might be helpful for someone looking for basic information.
But I'm done with this board. I don't like sites that allow anonymous posting. If a person isn't willing to put his or her name to their criticisms, then they shouldn't be allowed to post. I imagine "anonymous" has an agenda of his or her own.

You are correct on some of the "anonymous" posts. However, I do support having the capability because sometimes it allows one to post about items that are of general interest or particular interest that should not be referred back to an individual, regardless what name they are using here. (Should they have to open a second Account under a different name? Haven't tried that with this weeks new software. Couldn't do that with the old software without also opening up a new Email site to have to register here.) Outside of the people that want to say something and not have family read it as from them, or the ladies that have come in and been hesitant to talk about Vulvar or vaginal melanoma to a bunch of absolute strangers, I will always remember the discussions that have gone on in the past about sex and melanoma patients and melanooma caregivers or the lack thereof. I suspect from some of the posts and responses given, that some marriages have been saved. This and the continuation of the bashful anonymous posts (After getting familiar with us, all ladies in this group that I am aware of have began using their registered name) makes the irritation I have suffered several times at the hands of "anonymous" slanted and miss-informed posts more bare able.
