Thank you Esther for your prayers! I do appreciate them. There is nothing more comforting than being in a loving and caring community.  You are the best!

Yesterday I found out that melanoma has returned.  Both of the funky things biopsied contain melanoma.   I'm assuming the third does too.  It will come out ASAP.

The Dr here in Bangkok has been fabulous!  He listened, asked questions, and was very cautious.  He recognized the difficulty of diagnosing Mel and, his lack of experience with it, so automatically sent it for a second opinion to the best pathologist in the Kingdom.  I appreciate that level of care! This was a good choice.  Thank you for helping me think this through.

After almost 5 years as NED status, I'm still in a little shock and it's going to take me a while to readjust my world. But this readjustment is what needs to be done.  So I'm in the process of emailing my path report to my amazing Rock Star Mel Dr in So Cal. and making plans to return to the US.

In the in between time, I'm reminding myself of all the good things around me.  Amazing people-family and friends, I'll be home for Christmas, meet a new inlaw (who I already adore!) and be present for the birth of a new niece.  I'll see the winter (such as it is in Southern California!) and the Christmas lights,  have (possibly too much!) egg nog, and hear all the Christmas carols.  And remember that God is still ruler over the universe, and that includes all funky and evil things.

I'll update you when I have more details,

      Peace!

      Julie
