So Dad had his first round of WBR today…..seemed fairly straight forward but now 4hrs later he is extremely tired and asleep in bed. He said he had slight blurred vision and a headache?

I know these are all possible symptoms, but so soon?

WBR warriors please come forward with some experiences.

    Thanks in advance

Nahmi, My husband completed WBR in November, and in our experience the tiredness is cumulative and Phil didnt really have any substantial side effects the first few weeks. I think it would be too soon to attribute his side effects to one session of WBR, perhaps its his tumors or other drugs he may be on. Please discuss his issues with your doctor at today’s appointment, perhaps they can help you sort out his symptoms. God bless, you are doing a great job for your Dad, hang in there! Hi Nahmi,

My husband had his first WBR treatment today, I have just got back from visiting him and he is wiped out, sleeping all the time.  The Dr's have told me that it can have this effect, I am lucky as my husband has been hospitalised because of the fatigue so I know he is in good hands because it is really worrying.

I wish your Dad all the best,

Thanks for your thoughts everyone. He slept all night and was in again this morning at 8.30am for is second round of WBR. He said he felt ok.

Ben… I rang Sydney re: gamma knife and they re-directed back to my dads onc in Melbourne who then referred me to the radiologist…who didn't believe dad was eligible for gamma because of the tumor progression through the body??? I agree that gamma knife is preferable, but clearly none of the doctors are recommending it. So frustrating…I'm tired of being hand balled. What more can you do? I feel quite helpless watching him go through this. Love to all.
