    Good morning, my father is being treated with yervoy (he did the second infusion and in a few days will be the third) in Italy in Rome. He metastases to the spine for this hospital for several months gave Deltacortene (Prednisone) 5 mg x 2 times a day. the doctors have never mentioned anything about the possibility that this drug may conflict with yervoy. Assumption yervoy someone with prednisone? has been made ​​a serious mistake on the part of doctors? thanks

      Good morning. In official yervoy page it says the following:

      Permanently discontinue YERVOY for any of the following

      • Persistent moderate adverse reactions or inability to reduce corticosteroid dose to
        7.5 mg prednisone or equivalent per day.

      Personally i think you have to ask the doctors wether you can reduse your father's dose or if it is possible  to stop it for a while. As far as i know oderate consumption does not reduce yervoy's significance.

        My big question is whether this drug cortisone-based therapy has negative effects on yervoy. side effects of yervoy is overcoming them very well but if not then he is indeed a big problem
