I wonder if you can help me. It is almost a week since my friend had SNB. Her wound under arm is swollen. Is it a normal reaction? Is it related to the cancer or to the surgery?

    thank you for your help

Your friend should call her surgeon to find out what is "normal" versus "abnormal".  Certainly, some swelling is likely.  And side effects like seromas (fluid filled areas) can happen.  But only her doctor will be able to address if it is normal or not based on the surgery.  If she has concerns, she should call the doctor.

Is it closed, open? leaking Pus, infected? Hot? She on antibiotics? Call the doc and discuss.
