He is in south korea, suffering with Melanoma.
I'm wondering if he can get Zelboraf.
He is going to find out if he can get as he stay in South korea, otherwise he is going to travel to the states.
Is there anyone who knows how to get Zelboraf from overseas.
Thank you so much for reading mine and your comments in advance.
Peter..

Peter, welcome to our forum. I am not familiar with the health system in South Korea, although I have known a few people from there. If it is possible for your uncle to travel to the states, then he might be able to have treatment there. I feel that the US has the best medical technology for melanoma treatment, so that is another consideration.
Hope this helps.

Has your Uncle had his tumors treated yet to see if he has the B-raf mutation? I would think if he was able to get it tested there they would have suggestions on how to get the drug, maybe even a neighboring country. I don't think the drug is approved in other countries, instead he would have to find a trial.
If traveling to the US he would most likely have to either stay here or come once a month for the drug. That is a difficult decision he will have to make.

I contacted the company that makes Zelboraf and here is their recommendation:
Questions should be directed to the local Roche affiliate. The http://www.roche.com site lists all the affiliates (there’s a link at the very top of the page to Roche Worldwide) and links to the local websites (in the local language). The patient’s clinician should contact the medical manager for vemurafenib through the switchboard number if none other is given.
For South Korea the Medical Manager is Eunah Kim. Her email address is eunah.kim@roche.com.
I hope this helps.
