    Good news on the brain front.  I finally got enough nerve to contact (again) the brain doctor (neurosurgeon) regarding the shunt flow test.  It seems that the shunt has prompt flow.  However, if he wants me to have a replacement shunt his secretary says she will contact me and we will arrange it.

    Other than, the severe dizzy spells, the headache is quite tolerable.  At least the first thing they looked for was if there was any melanoma involved.  (we knew this already)  so now I go to another doctor this afternoon regarding the first MRI I had after the CT scan which showed something going on with the liver.  spots or something.  The CT showed, this they requested a followup MRI  I had that, then some of you know what happened yesterday when I was suppose to have yet another MRI (still do not know why)  However, the doctor who requested all this….(plastic surgeon)  wants to see both hubby and myself this afternoon. regarding the results from the FIRST mri.  Confused?  so am I.

    But I am quite happy that no brain surgery in the near future.  It will have to be replaced, but not immed.  yeah!!!!  just had to share this bit of un woe bonnie.

    I will keep you all posted.

      Ok…..not so good news but there is always room for change.

       

      reason for the request of second MRI was that yes the LIVER is fine, but there is a concern over the right kidney.  The concern of the radiologist is that Kidney ca, or metastases.  Hence the need for second MRI.

      So another new doctor will be brought on board, this time a urologist.  If the second MRI confirms what the first MRI shows, then a needle biopsy I guess. 

      But I am ok with this, as did not like the idea of anything wrong with my champagne loving liver.

        You are quite the experienced traveler on the medical road, so I hope the kidney thing is just another bump.  Since shunt works fine though, no more playing dumb as a fox and spelling things wrong on purpose.

        Hope you feel better soon.
