I just asked my doctor about this on Tuesday. I asked that if I can't take the regular Interferon could I switch to the PEG.? He said that he would suppose that it could be done but he knew of noone who has actually done it. I'm starting my high dose this Monday so I wanted to know if I could change my mind.

Hi Denise,
My husband is just finishing month 6. The first month was the IVs, is that what you are starting?
We have 2 doctors. One is Michael's main oncologist, who is in favor of the traditional iNF. The other is Dr. Schuchter at Penn (Phila) who is in favor of the pegylated. But I can't find anyone who has switched.
The first month is hard. But you will get through. Write me if you need support.
