Hi I have just had my 3rd cycle of key truda. I have 42 lumps throughout my body, not in the liver or intestines. Has anyone else has light headedness or blurred vision as a side effect? The doctors said I have anaemia, low blood pressure and low red cell count.

I had tension headaches for 3 years while receiving Opdivo immunotherapy. These headaches where worse in the days after an Opdivo infusion. I did not take any pain medicine. I received brain MRIs because of my headaches. I still receive Opdivo infusions, but my headaches are milder now.

        I start opvido Monday.
what other side effects did you have and were headaches due to Opdivo or just exacerbated by the drug?

“were headaches due to Opdivo or just exacerbated by the drug?” I do not know. Either way my headaches were more severe after an infusion.

I have fatigue after each infusion of Opdivo. I can run about 3 miles the day after an infusion. I can run my usual 7 miles 5 days after an infusion .

I had some lightheadedness at the beginning, but it was probably more from anaemia and low blood pressure (which can be related) than Keytruda. It got better as we got my iron levels up.

I’m in hospital right now, came in with inflammation in the pancreas, enzyme levels high in blood test. Also have tension headaches and my vision has been blurry for 3 weeks. Is anyone else on Key Truda experiencing this sort of thing and does anyone know how you would tell if the treatment is working?

Sometimes side effects can be a good sign that it’s working. Otherwise, I think you just have to wait for scans. There can be “pseudo progression” with the first 3-4 infusions, where tumours actually get larger, then they should start to shrink.

Sorry to hear you’re in the hospital. I’ve had no vision problems on pembro/keytruda, but when my iron-deficient anemia was treated (two iron infusions), I felt much better within a week or so after second iron infusion. Improvements have endured now three months later.

Thanks for your reply, I just had an iron infusion due to ferritin levels being too low. And I’ve just had my 4th cycle of key truda, having a ct scan on the 10th Feb so fingers crossed.
