Let me just add my voice to the rest – Janner is a source of reasonable and comforting advice, especially for those of us who are new at this melanoma thing. I sincerely hope she continues commenting here for the good of everyone.

Thanks, everyone. I'm fine, just need a break – not sure if it will be short or permanent. I've been on this site about 14 years giving much of the same advice over and over. I hate those that cause additional fear in the newly diagnosed – it happened to me when I first posted here and I vowed to help other understand the reality and most likely scenarios despite the fearmongers. So I researched obsessively and have been posting all these years. All my old friends are long gone from this site – moved on after the format and ownership changes. It might be time for me to do the same. We'll see. Thanks for the thoughts,
Janner

Hi Janner,
So glad you are ok! I have been waiting to see your name pop up and just started to get worried. Admit your name is one I scan for every morning when I stop by the forum to glance through new posts. I look for ways to help too, though also admit I really only know a little about mucosal (vulvovaginal in particular) melanoma) and maybe just the slightest bit about melanoma in general. Can I just point out that even though I don't know anything about format and ownership, and even though after 14 years you deserve a respite, this forum STILL NEEDS YOU. And just as an aside….you really do have a whole batch of NEW friends who really appreciate your posts. All that research you've done, it has helped me tremendously. The bottom line is, I miss your posts. I miss knowing that if I come onto the forum with a question about lymph nodes or Clark's levels you will be here to shed some well-informed light on the subject. This forum would not be the same without you. You are still needed as a breath of fresh of air against the fearmongers, you are supremely rational and a fount of knowledge on melanoma, which even those of us who have more aggressive or advanced melanomas find extremely helpful. So I do totally understand if you need a break, but just have to cast my vote that you come back one day here soon! You have been sorely missed by me, and it sounds like by quite a few others too.

Hi Janner. I haven't been on for years but I remember you and your great advise. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. It has been greatly appreciated by so many, myself included. Hope you are well and enjoying life. I don't see too many of my old friends on here and hope that they have just gone away from the board and not lost to us permanently.

Janner, know that no matter what you decide you have made a huge impact on the lives of many. You were here to help sort out my confusion when I was new 3 years ago and as you say have been around helping people for 14 years.
You have my total support whatever you do. I totally understand needing a break after pouring untold hours into this site and I wish you the very best. You have accumulated enough karma for several lifetimes!
