      Thanks for your encouragement. I just reread my initial post and somehow I forgot to include a vital piece of info. When I went in for the excision yesterday one of the first things the doctor said was that the mole was "a melanoma". But then she went on to tell me what I already wrote above: they got it all and I just have to come back every three months to get it checked on. She didn't say if she was sending the excised skin in to the pathologist but my mom (a CRNA) said they would. I'm sure worried that this is going to get progressively worse. At first it was just a suspicious mole, then it was atypical, now it's a melanoma. I already sort of deal with anxiety and this is just making it worse. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Picking up the pathology report later so I can post more specific details
