In 2009, I had an amazing response to Yervoy. At the time, I had metastases popping up everywhere (stomach, knee, intestines, spleen, liver, lungs, brain. The Yervoy helped to get things under control and even got rid of everything in the liver and lungs. I shoud note that I had some surgeries in addition to the Yervoy (splenectomy, knee removal, intestine surgery, raditation to the brain), however without the Yervoy I am pretty confident that I'd be toast. As for side effects, back then the only side effect I had was extreme itching. Recently, however, I got back on Yervoy, and after two doses developed colitis, so that's not been great. Still, in my experience this drug was nothing less that a lifesaver.

      Best of luck!

Hello. Since starting various cancer drugs, I've had many periods of lingering coughs which my doctors think is actually acid reflux. Coughing can, in fact, be the only sympton one gets from acid reflux. Like my coughing, perhaps yours can be alliviated by nothing more than Prilosec. Best of luck!  Josh

Thank a lot, Hannah. My face is finally starting to get better after two weeks. I can't tell if it's the many steroid creams I've been using, the two different antibiotics, or the fact that I was off the drugs for 11 days, but in any case, I'm back on the drugs and so far I look sexy again ๐Ÿ™‚

Best of healthy-skin luck, and, more importantantly, best of luck staying healthy!

      Hey Mat,

I agree: cancer seems way scarier than acne, but my doctors have been sort of strangely adament about stopping the drug until the acne (they call it a "rash") is resolved. I think their opinion is that the BRAF/MEK strategy might benefit from starting and then stopping the drug, but, yeah, I'm feeling a bit leery about being off of the drug for so long (it's been over a week).

So did you have any success treating the acne (steroids, antibiotics, steroid creams)? Another question might be did you even try to treat the acne?

      Thanks again!
