Bio

I am a retired 61 year old wife, mother of 2 adult children and grandmother to a 3 year old boy. I do have an inherited neuropathy that negatively impacts my lower limbs an makes long walks impossible. Retired early at age 58 to enjoy time with my husband and family, do some traveling, pursue hobbies, and generally enjoy life. But now with this melanoma diagnosis I’ve hit a bump in the road that I am learning to accept and deal with. Trying to remain positive.

No family history of melanoma but I am fair-skinned. I am not one to spend hours in the sun. I do use sunscreen, seldom get burned. However,as a child we didn’t use sunscreen and I do recall at least one bad sunburn;
