      My mom was first diagnosed with plasmacytoma then found out she also has stage IV melanoma.

      Yes, Marianne. They are. My mom had her first treatment of Yervoy yesterday. My Mom is feeling okay so far.

      Hi Marianne

      I spoke to Riverside Kaiser and was told they are the only Kaiser in Southern California that has melanoma speciialists.

      My mom has an appointment next Friday.

      If I find out there is not a melanoma specialist, I will be pretty upset considering it is a long drive.

      Unfortunetly my mom can't swithch to another insurance until October. In the meantime we are waiting to get a referall to another Kaiser facility for either a melanoma specialist or a doctor with more experience with melanoma.

      I have a few friends who see Dr  Piro at the Los Angeles clinic and have wonderful things to say about him. My  mom can't switch insurance until October so we are stuck with Kaiser in the meantime.

      I am praying for your mom
