Bio

I’ve been battling melanoma going on six years now and I’m start a new treatment plan this week (nivolumab and ipilimumab). I was first diagnosed at the age of 23 with stage 2 melanoma on my left leg. I am now 29 years old with stage 3c melanoma, BRAF mutation. My scans show no signs of cancer, however, more tumors keep appearing in my thigh area. I’ve undergone four surgeries including the isolated limb perfusion. My oncologist now thinks it has spread to local organs but we just can’t tell as of now since the cancer is microscopic. I’m joining this site in hopes of connecting with people that have been in my shoes and have been through the same treatment plan as I will be on 🙂
