So just had my 6 month ct i have been off and on zelboraf for 15 months. I now have a subcutaneous tumor that has grown in size. I have only been taking zelboraf half strength due to side affects and only one week one and one week off. So here is my dilemma do i increase the dose and take it steady and suffer through the side effects (terrible feet and joint been, low energy, nausea) and give the zelboraf another go? Or do I switch to yervoy. or do I join a new clinical trail ( if any are available) any ideas.

For some unknown reason, while Zelboraf does kill malignant melanoma it also stimulates the other 2 types of skin cancer– basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma. Has your subcutaneous tumor been biopsied? What type is it?

yes it has been biopsied. Came back metastatic melanoma, bummer. I have gone back on Zelboraf 3 pills twice a day going to give it a month and see if the tumor gets bigger will have to do something different.
