Blisters potentially could be a serious side effect.  Your dad should see his doctor immediately.

I had numerous types of things on the surface and just under the surface of my skin while on zel. I did not every get blisters. I did get raised red nodules that were very painful to touch. they would come up, several at a time, last for a week or so, then slowly dissipate, leaving a bruise-like mark for a while. Then, more would come up in other areas. If the blisters increas in number, I would certainly feel that warrants being seen. Also.. the hotline can sometimes be a helpful tool, though the new changes make it a little more tedious, I thought. Your oncology nurses may be the best first source for questions abt side effects.

I have never experienced blisters while on Zelboraf but the Zelboraf web site makes reference to blisters possibly being part of a severe skin reaction.  If you have not yet done so, you probably want to contact your Dad's doctor.  Good luck.
