I have had 27 infusions of Keytruda.  This week I have been miserable with what feels like a nasty Urinary Tract Infection. My regular doc has taken 2 samples, and the bacteria that should be making me feel like this are not there. Could I be developing a new side effect to Keytruda after all this time?  I know UTI is not a usual side effect, but there seems to be no reason for me to feel like this.  I wish you all well.  I pray this disease can be a treatable one for each of us.     Thank you, Nell

Cystitis is inflammation of the bladder and can have the same symptoms as a UTI. If you are testing negative for the usual UTI bacteria, this may be another thing to look into. Certainly what we know from immunotherapy drugs is that inflammation of all kinds are the main side effects of these treatments. So, it would not be too unusual if you had bladder inflammation causing UTI-like symptoms. Hope you feel better soon Nell.

Yervoy got rid of melanoma in my lungs and liver nut I had to stop because of severe colitis. Keytruda has been keeping my organs clear since then. The original tumor on the chest area is not stable, however and has grown. I had stereotactic rafiation and am waiting to see if it has helped bring this under control.  Thanks for asking. It's a journey…….
