I am not sure how Valis doing, but I know Sharyn is not doing well.  I spoke with Annette Cyr, executive director of Melanoma Networkof Canada, and although she was responding to ipi, she has had continuing issues with brain mets and I believe has gone home to be with her family.

I am sorry to say that I received an email re: Sharyn this evening.  She was such an inspiration and will be missed by all.  Good thoughts and prayers to all her family and friends.

I'm just devastated. Sharyn was a special friend and so supportive of others. She will always be treasured in my heart, we enjoyed seeing each other when we could in Montreal.   I also have been removed from the 2nd round of ipi, I will never regret taking it.  Now I am searching to find another treatment, I'm hoping to get some response very soon. I will write more after, for now I can't stop crying about Sharyn.  May God wrap his arms around your family and give them comfort, you will be missed and loved forever my dear friend.  Life is so hard sometimes, so I will sign off,  Val xx
