      Hi everyone, what does nodular appearing mean?…Isnt a nodular a nodular?..are their things that look like a mass or nodular but its just something else?  Has anyone come across this before?..Thank you!!

      1.  No definitive evidence of metastatic melanoma within the abdomen or pelvis.
      2.  Nodular appearing left adrenal gland and nonenlarged but prominent mesenteric lymph nodes are seen, these findings are nonspecific. Attention on future follow-up imaging is advised.

          Reading docs love to point out every little thing that looks funny on scans for legal purposes. I have a list of funny spots and scarring that every scan points out. They even found some previously broken bones that I hadn't realized were broken. But none of those things are melanoma.

          So re-read your #1. Delete #2. Re-read #1. Repeat. Pop a brewski and enjoy!

              Anon,

              My onc always tells me that radiologists just read what they see.  It is good to read the PET report, but don't "read in" to the PET report.  Make sure you talk to your melanoma specialist about interpreting your scan results.  Radiology's reports can cause lots of necessary anxiety for the patient.  I have been there.  It took several scans for me to figure this out even though I was told it from the begriming.  Congrats on the good scan.

                  I would say concentrate on the no definitive evidence of metastatic melanoma and run with it!!!!!!
