No kidding…she tested positive. The NewDoc had a suspicion of it after her pre-surgery bloodwork 2 weeks ago but wanted to wait for the ACTH stim test until she had healed up from having all of her 'lil lumps and papilomas removed. AbbeyDog had previously flunked her Cushing's test, but sad to say Emma passed.

I have her meds, Lysodren, which I had to go to 2 different people pharmacies to find. I googled the drug and found an article that you should be careful to wash hands after touching the pills. Sheesh. And she is 'sposed to swallow that? And if she gets all vomiting and poopy, I am to discontinue the Lysodren and give her the Prednisone to counteract the effects of the drug.
Ask me if I am afraid of killing my only other dog. Ask me if she is getting spoiled. : )
Y'all take good care.
k.

LOL Dian…there is a joke in our family that if a creature has 4 legs and fur, I am a total idiot for it.
EmmaDog doesn't care for kitties at all and Hubs is allergic. Otherwise, I would prolly come to the left coast and kidnap your cat.
So far so good on the Lysodren induction phase for Emma…she is snoring peacefully next to me now and has a good appetite.
Hubs came home from his conference and he is also snoring peacefully downstairs. It is good to have him home.
Take good care, k.
