My doctor just told me that he suspects subungual melanoma on my left thumb. I go to a dermatologist next week. It's scary to think about. How do you post a picture for others to see?

      Hi Robyn,

I don't know how to post pictures, but just wanted to say good luck.  I know the waiting is tough.  Hope it turns out to be something benign!

I'm sorry you have to deal with this.  The waiting is so hard.  As a suggestion, make sure the dermatologist you are seeing has experience with melanoma, and also request a punch biopsy as that is the best type to get a true reading on the depth of the lesion.
