After being in the hospital and bedridden for almost 12 weeks, Jerry was able to stand on his own Tuesday and is now making good progress on a stationary bike.
He is still being weaned from steroids and it will be Jan 21 when he meets with his melanoma team.
For those so inclined, below is his hospital mailing address.
Send him some cards………..he needs the exercise to open envelopes !

Hello folks,
Thank you all for your concern and caring. Especially Charlie. He calls every once in a while to see him doing so you can let all of you know. It has been a long road and I have a long way to go. The paralysis and rehab will take some time to hopefully overcome. I am in one of the best facilities in the Northeast for rehab and medical care. I have been hospital confined and require moving machines, etc. but I do get around and and developed friendships while in here. I got a wonderful, dedicated team working on getting me back to as close to "normal" as possible.
And then I have all of you. My extended family and friends that I found on the original, MPIP just a few short years ago. Who knew what this ride caused by stage and complications was going to bring? What is my lovely wife says "you dealt a hand every day all you can do is play it and hope you get to play the next"
I have a phenomenal family, Christmas was wonderful, and it seemed like every time I turned around l another relative or friend was coming to see me. Some well taken care of and building my strength up to take on the next " battle with the beast"
Best wishes to you all and I thank you for your thoughts and support.

So great to see you here. Hard to keep a good JERRY down. (HaHa) (Hate to ask exactly "What is normal?" for either of us! )
