I'm 2 months post op from my WLE on my scalp (left side, on hairline). No lymph node involvement suspected. The doctors said they got it all during surgery and that I was good to go. Last week, I went in for my 3 month skin check from my initial diagnosis, my doctor said I was all good – no new moles and my lymph nodes aren't swollen.

But I've had this headache for about a week now. I thought it was just sinus pressure or a tension headache, but I've never had a headache this long and it's not quite where sinus pressure headaches would be.

It started on my left side, behind my eye, with like a 7 on the pain scale, and then subsided to a dull constant pain. It's now a general front of the head headache that's dull and achey.

Just wondering when I should start to worry and if I should contact my doctor.

I tend to be a worry wart so please feel free to tell me that I'm crazy lol

Hi Maddie – my husband has never had headaches with his brain mets but each situation is different.  I'd check with your doctor to put your mind at ease.

If you have concerns, I’d certainly advise talking to your doctor about it but try not to get ahead of yourself.

I had a fist-sized brain tumor and never had a single headache. After it had been removed, I asked my neurosurgeon if my experience of not having any headaches was unusual and he said no. The brain is very spongy and can adapt or show other symptoms before causing headaches. That doesn’t mean that headaches can’t be a symptom but they certainly aren’t a particularly good indication one way or the other.

                Hi Maddie,

I think a week-long headache is worth reporting to your doctor, but it is not necessarily a sign of brain mets.

I am 8 years NED from a stage 2A melanoma. In my case, I began having a persistent headache a couple of years after my initial treatment, which lasted more than a month. I reported it to my doctor and they ordered a CT scan of my brain. Thankfully it did not find anything of concern. The final diagnosis was that my eyesight was slipping (due to normal aging) and I needed to get prescription eye glasses. The headaches were believed to be due to eye fatigue.

                Best regards,
                Mark 2A

Not really, you just need to relax. For example, try kratom, buy it from here https://www.ouchclub.com/kratom/where-to-buy-kratom-online/. Really good medicine to refresh the mind.
