The circulation tumour cell test is not really new.
There has been quite a lot of research on it for some time and it is pretty accurate at detecting possiblity of distant spread even in early stage cancers.
I did one in a clinic in Germany a couple of years ago when i was stage 3. It correctly predicited that i would have distant spread based on the amount of tumor debris in the bloodstream.
I think every stage 3 person should do it. A low score might mean better to wait and see while a high score gives the opportunity to be more proactive and aggressive.
