    Hello,

My husband is on Opdivo and I recently found out I am pregnant. It was an accident as we were informed to NOT get pregnant but here we are. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with having a healthy pregnancy/child while their husband was on Opdivo?

I have reached out to Bristol-Meyers Squibb but they only have limited data.

Thank you in advance for any and all information relating to this!

    Nichole

Hi Nichole! First and most importantly CONGRATULATIONS!!! Its amazing how when it rains it pours. Your husband is clearly having a big battle right now and your lives change again in an instant…and in an amazing and exciting way!

I don’t have any personal experience with this but I’m thinking that there really shouldn’t be anything abnormal with your pregnancy. It would be much worse if YOU were the one on immunotherapy as your body could attack the baby and could cause a miscarriage. The immune system isn’t involved in the creation of sperm and immunotherapy doesn’t harm growing cells the way chemo does. That’s my guess but definitely discuss with your oncologist.

      Wishing you all the best!

Did the  Yervoy/Opdivo combo and was on Opdivo for a year when GF got pregnant.  All went well, and today she is a healthy 2 1/2 year old with no health issues.
