Hi, I am from the UK and my husband have stage 4 melanoma with Mets in his lungs, liver, spleen, peritoneum, sacrum and clavicle. He started pembrolizumab in January and initial response was good with tumours shrinking. However after 9 treatments response has stopped and the cancers are growing again. He starts his first dose of ipilimimab on Tues. Has anyone had any experience of this and can pass on any advice about side effects etc please?

I began receiving pembrolizumab ( Keytruda ) in November 2015.  In February 2016 walking was painful. My March 2016 PET scan showed melanoma had spread to many more bones.  Keytruda was not helping me.  I began receiving ipilimumab ( Yervoy ) and nivolumab ( Opdivo ) on April 1, 2016.  I lost 11 lbs and had very bad diarrhea.  By July 2016 I could run again and my August 2016 PET scan showed the mets had shrunk.   I continune to receive nivolumab every 2 weeks.
